The Fosse Way
From Moreton-in-Marsh into Warwickshire
The next series of pictures are taken on the Fosse Way heading north from Moreton-in-Marsh. Although it is a Roman alignment, that doesn't mean that there are no blind bends along it. We pass turnings on the left for Aston Magna, and on the right for Todenham and Great Wolford.
The road now begins to open out, and soon we enter Shakespear's County, commonly known as Warwickshire. In the third picture below, we get a glimpse of the kind of road that you associate with the Romans - a long straight section with good visibility.
