The Fosse Way
Around the A3400 and Halford
On this page we reach the roundabout with the A3400. For a while, the A3400 was the more important road, as it was the A34, but now, since the opening of the M40, it is the Fosse Way that is a Primary Route. Much like in Roman times, then. We deviate off the Roman line in order to negotiate the roundabout.
Just over half a mile north of the A3400, we reach Halford, a small village. The second picture looks north along the main street, and the third picture shows the Halford Bridge Inn.
