The Gower
The B4271 North Gower Road
At the bottom of Cefn Bryn, we turn right onto the North Gower Road. The trip west to Llanrhidian, Llanmadoc and Llangennith will have to wait for another day.
The second picture is taken as we climb up from Llethrid Bridge onto Pengwern Common. You can park at the bridge and walk through Green Cwm (Green Valley) to Parkmill, if you feel so inclined.
We cross Pengwern Common, then the road dips down to cross Cartersford Bridge in another wooded valley.
Finally, we emerge onto Fairwood Common, passing Swansea Airport on our right, before we rejoin the A4118. The second photo is taken just after the A4118 junction, looking towards the cattle grid marking the edge of Swansea, with the houses of Upper Killay beyond.
